Liberal Democrats' Historic Win on Kingston Council

Liberal Democrats in Kingston have thanked local residents after securing their best ever result, holding control of Kingston Council, electing 41 out of 45 councillors to work hard for local residents on the Council covering all but one ward in the Borough.

The election in New Malden Village has been delayed unitl Thursday, 21 June after the sad passing of an independent candidate during the campaign. The Lib Dem candidates for this election will be Mark Durrant, Lesley Heap and Robert Kim.

Cllr Andreas Kirsch, Lib Dem Leader of Kingston Council, said, "We've be blown away by the level of support received by Lib Dem candidates across our Borough. From Chessington to Coombe Hill, residents have backed our vision of a greener, safer, fairer Borough and we're already working hard to make that a reality."
