BERRYLANDS STATION NEEDS LIFTS
In May next year Network Rail will temporarily close Berrylands Station, to replace both platforms and stairs.
No lifts to the platforms from ground level are planned to be included in the works.
Network Rail says that it will not apply to the government fund that pays to improve access at railway stations for disabled people.
We believe this is wrong. Elderly people with restricted mobility, parents with buggies, and people using wheelchairs should be able to use Berrylands Station. If lifts are not included during next year’s station refit they are unlikely ever to be installed in Berrylands Station.
Your local MP Ed Davey, and your local councillors, Anita Schaper and Jackie Davies (Berrylands Ward), and Ian Manders and Peter Herlinger (Alexandra Ward), are campaigning to get Network Rail to install lifts at Berrylands Station.

BERRYLANDS STATION NEEDS LIFTS
As a Berrylands resident, I request that Network Rail install lifts at Berrylands Station for better access for disabled people, as part of the works starting May 2026.
